Niblett
New Range in 20mm
John Niblett, has just brought an interesting range of 20mm
scale, cast metal 11th, 12th and 14th
century knights and some 17th century infantry on
to the market. John tells us that the range is not new and the
figures were available (but only in painted form) some years
ago - long before the days of Military Modelling magazine. Actually,
examples of John's work probably will be in the collections
of most wargamers already since he was responsible for the sculpture
of most of the Airfix HO/OO range of polythene figures. In the
early Renaissance range there are roundheads, musketeers, pikemen
and cavaliers, while the mounted knights are all accompanied
by men-at-arms, and the caparisons of the knights' chargers
are cast without creases and folds in the material to enable
the painting of coats of arms and other heraldic devices to
be undertaken. Smaller than 25mm figures and a bit bigger than
15mm, they retail at three mounted for £1.60 (plus postage and
packing) and six foot for 72p for the same postage.
